You can refer yourself to Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing or you may be referred by your GP or Consultant. Please telephone or email to make an appointment with any of the therapists working at the practice. The therapist will arrange an initial consultation. If you are unsure of the therapeutic approach or therapist let us know and a member of our team can call or email you to discuss the various options available. If you or someone you know is in crisis please read this information. We do not have a receptionist based at The Practice. To make an appointment please telephone or email on the details provided on each therapists page or email: info@silkhousetherapypractice or telephone 01625 468 858. Please note: when our therapists are busy their calls may be answered by Real Time Reception Ltd. Real Time Reception are a confidential reception service based in Norfolk who specialise in supporting psychotherapists, counsellors and other health care professionals. Calls are recorded, stored for 3 months then deleted. All stored information is password protected. If you do not want to use this reception service please email us [email protected] and one of our therapists will contact you usually within 24 hours during working hours. Please note we are usually open Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm. initial consultations
The purpose of the consultation is discuss the issues that are affecting you and how psychotherapy or counselling might help. The consultation is for prospective psychotherapy or counselling clients and lasts one hour. You can arrange a consultation with a psychotherapist or counsellor of your choice or with a member of the clinical management team who will be able to advise you on the therapeutic approaches available and the therapist that might best suit you. All of the therapists working at Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing are self employed, carry professional indemnity insurance and are bound by the ethical codes of their professional organisations. fees
We no longer publish rates of individual therapists on the website. Please ask when you make contact. Some therapists may offer concessions to those on low incomes. payment
Payment is made by cash or cheque at the beginning or end of a session. For longer term clients some therapists may have arrangements for payment via electronic transfer. cancellations
Appointments cancelled under 24 hours notice will normally be charged at the full rate. availability

There is one flight of stairs from the main entrance. If you have particular access requirements please let us know as some of our practitioners may be able to offer appointments at venues which are wheelchair accessible. How many sessions will i need?
This is something to discuss during an initial consultation. At the outset, you should expect to attend for a minimum of 6 sessions. Normally, you would arrange to meet at the same time each week, though there is usually some flexibility. is it confidential?

If you have concerns about your therapy, please raise these in the first instance with your therapist who will advise you how to take matters further if you are not satisfied.
