Jo Stratford-Whittingham
Creative Director of The Wellbeing Space

Jo (she/her) is a queer lesbian, a process focussed facilitator, movement & word artist, and training Yoga Therapist, living with Lyme Disease, with a lifelong passion for textiles and creative expression.

Her work is rooted in inclusive, nurturing and affirming spaces where people can explore belonging, identity and expression. Inviting people to explore expressions in creative and artistic ways. Honouring the rich tapestry of human experience.

From her heart, Jo creates inclusive spaces of unlearning, reclaiming & returning to our intuitive true selves and deep knowing. Jo has a clear boundaried, consent led, careful approach. Inviting you to weave connection, into your daily life, connecting you to community. Jo lives in gratitude and honours all those on the ongoing journey of remembering, healing and reclaiming. Inspired by the resiliency and strong wild spirits of all whom she has met and is yet to meet.

Jo has been a long-time supporter, and collaborator of The Wellbeing Space (formerly known as Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing and The Big Room CIC). In May 2025, Jo became the creative director, continuing her heartfelt commitment to nurturing community connection and wellbeing under the new name, the WELLBEING space.

Jo is currently facilitating with Laura Doherty, running the "Women Who Run With The Wolves" reading circle and Jo holds many diverse community talks, circles, retreats and gatherings, each year, both here in the WELLBEING space and in community.
